• Account Information: Name, email address, phone number, profile picture, and password (managed securely via Firebase Authentication).
• Verification Data (KYC): Government-issued ID, selfie, and other documents required to verify your identity before renting or providing gear.
• Payment Information: We do not store full credit card numbers. All payment data is processed and stored securely by our payment provider (Razorpay).
• Booking & Transaction Data: Records of your rentals, items provided, rental dates, escrow status, and associated disputes.
• Device & Usage Data: IP addresses, browser types, operating systems, and interaction metrics to improve our Platform.

3. How We Use Your Information

We process your information for purposes based on legitimate business interests, the fulfillment of our contract with you, compliance with our legal obligations, and/or your consent.

• To Facilitate Rentals: Connecting renters and providers securely, managing escrow payments, and sharing necessary contact details upon confirmed bookings.
• For Trust & Safety: Verifying identities, scoring risk profiles, and investigating disputes or fraudulent activity.
• To Manage User Accounts: Allowing you to create, maintain, and secure your account.
• To Send Administrative Information: Sending you details about product, service, and new feature information and/or information about changes to our terms, conditions, and policies.

4. Information Sharing & Disclosure

We only share information with the following third parties and under the following circumstances:

• Between Renters and Providers: When a booking is confirmed, we share limited necessary details (such as names and phone numbers) to facilitate the handoff and return of items.
• Service Providers: We use third-party service providers, such as Razorpay for payments and Firebase for database and authentication services.
• Legal Obligations: We may disclose your information where we are legally required to do so in order to comply with applicable law, governmental requests, a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process.

5. Data Security & Storage

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process. Our database is hosted securely on Firebase, and we utilize strict Firestore security rules to ensure that users can only access data they are authorized to view.
